The Assistant Coach is responsible for a designated aspect of coaching, assisting with recruiting efforts, and supporting student-athlete development while maintaining commitment to academic integrity. Responsibilities also include assisting in fund-raising activities to support the program's operational budget.
The Assistant Coach of Basketball is responsible for their designated aspect of coaching, assist in recruiting and willing to assist in any role needed.
The candidate needs to be a relentless supporter of Lorain County Community College and its athletics department.
Collegiate coaching and recruiting experience are preferred but not required for this position.
The program will be conducted in compliance with policies, procedures and regulations of the College, the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Candidates must maintain a current CPR and AED certification.
This is a part-time, 12-month position, reporting directly to the Head Basketball Coach and Athletic Director.
Candidates must possess three years of basketball coaching experience and excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, along with solid administrative abilities. A minimum of an Associate degree is required, a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and current CPR and AED certifications must be maintained.
