Core responsibilities
The floating teacher will provide essential substitute coverage for teachers throughout the day and assist with routine classroom opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing. Responsibilities also include supporting teachers with daily tasks like material preparation, student engagement during free play, supervision during outdoor time, and assisting with meals and naptime.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess an eec teacher certification, cda, or equivalent degree and experience, along with prior daycare experience in a center-Based or private school setting. The role requires availability monday through friday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, the ability to work on the floor, lift up to 50lbs, and stand for up to 90% of the workday.
