Core responsibilities
The speech language pathologist collaborates with the special education teacher on daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings, while also supplying updated student lists for the master special education roster. This role involves providing specially designed instruction through resource room, inclusion, and/Or pullout services to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from their disability.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master's degree or higher in communication disorders or speech-Language pathology from a regionally accredited institution. Required credentials include verification of an 8-Week practicum with children ages 0-21 in a school setting and either a colorado department of education (Cde) special services license or a department of regulatory agencies (Dora) speech-Language pathologist license, or valid asha ccc-Slp certification.
