Candidates must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or ged, and must meet specific state of wi teacher qualifications, which involve having 3 state classes (Ec1/Ec2/Infant-Toddler) or an aa/Ba degree in early childhood education or a cda. One year of professional teaching experience in child care settings is preferred, and demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice is required.
