Family Peer Support Specialist

The family peer support specialist provides support and advocacy for families affected by mental health and substance use disorders, assisting them in engaging with treatment and recovery goals. They manage an active caseload, participate in meetings, and collaborate on solutions to remove barriers to participation.

Candidates must be a parent or legal guardian of a child with lived experience in mental health services and have maintained stability outside of the mental health program for at least one year. A certified peer counselor certification and agency affiliated counselor status are required within specified timeframes after hire.
