A Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field is required, or a Master’s degree with an additional 18 graduate-level credit hours in mathematics or statistics. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for student learning and the ability to use various teaching methods.
Central Maine Community College seeks adjunct faculty to teach a variety of introductory level courses including quantitative reasoning and technical mathematics. The instructor will deliver and use a learning management system. The courses may be day or evening courses depending on availability but will be on-ground at our Auburn campus.
A Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field (e.g., statistics, physics, math ed., etc.), or a Master’s degree with an additional 18 graduate-level credit hours in mathematics or statistics. A strong enthusiasm and passion for student learning, with the ability to respond to students' needs using a variety of teaching methods. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience teaching college-level mathematics or relevant field experience. Familiarity with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems.
