Perry Children’s Center at the University of Tennessee at Martin is accepting applications for a part-time (70%) Child Care Teacher Assistant.

This position will assist the Lead Teacher in providing the best quality care and guidance to children in the absence of their parents or guardians.

Teaching teams strive to create meaningful experiences for children that extend their cognitive, social, physical, language and socioeconomic development.

Teachers provide a respectful learning environment, being sensitive to each child’s individual need.

In this supportive environment, children become secure and capable as they strive to master their world.

Requirements

Requires a high school degree and three years of experience, though a bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates must be physically fit to lift 40 pounds and be capable of sitting on the floor and standing for long periods.
