Summer Nurse Externship 2026, Atlantic Health Newton & Hackettstown Medical Center

Nurse externs will observe the professional role of the registered nurse and practice delivering basic nursing care under the guidance of a certified preceptor. They will also enhance their critical thinking skills and develop time-Management skills.

Candidates must provide an unofficial transcript, two letters of recommendation from clinical instructors or professors, and hold a bls certification. The program is designed for junior nursing students pursuing a bachelor of science or associate of science degree in nursing.
