Job Description

The Student Worker will provide general support to the Stout School of Education. This position is designed to assist with day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and special projects while offering students the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in a supportive environment. Job Location/ Hours Required: The candidate will perform all job duties in the Stout School of Education. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 10-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, students, and faculty in person, by phone, or via email. Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry. Deliver documents and materials across campus as needed. Assist with Social Media Posts and the School of Education Slide Show. Support faculty and staff with special projects or research-related tasks. Keep common areas organized and stocked (supplies, forms, etc.). Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Current enrollment as a student at High Point University. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as a team. Must be able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel. Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are essential. Desired Skills: Experience with Canva.
