Job description

The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at High Point University is accepting applications for one adjunct Chinese instructor, beginning in August 2026. Responsibilities include course preparation and teaching, providing timely feedback and grades, meeting with students during office hours, and communicating with students outside of class through Blackboard, email, and/or telephone. This is a part-time position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and reside near High Point, North Carolina.

Qualifications

Education: ·Master's degree in Chinese or related field, and near-native fluency in English and Chinese. Experience/Training: Previous teaching experience is required, preferably at the college level. Proficiency in using educational technology both in and outside the classroom is expected.
