The Educational Behavioral Support professional implements client plans and programs across school and community settings while providing intensive behavioral support. They also collect data, maintain session notes, and collaborate with the Behavior Analyst to monitor client progress.
The Educational Behavioral Support (“EBS”), under the direction of the Behavior Analyst, is assigned to a particular client who has demonstrated the need for intensive support, as determined by the Individualized Education Plan (“IEP”) team.
Essential functions
Fully implements all assigned client plans and programs with fidelity across school and community environments, utilizing the proper protective equipment when necessary
Accurately completes appropriate documentation requirements related to daily in-school services, including emergency procedure forms
Provides support to students through activities of daily living (i.e., self-care routines and chores) and swimming activities, and implements programming across environments to generalize skills
Completes high quality session notes, and maintains a professional relationship with families and community partners
Under the direction of the Behavior Analyst, designs materials for behavioral programming and support, organizes the client’s materials and work areas, prepares reinforcement, trains other staff on program changes, and completes fidelity checks
Collaborates with Behavior Analyst to monitor client programming and progress, and performs treatment integrity checks as prescribed
Collects, documents, and enters data or other relevant information pertaining to client behavior, goals, and prescribed programming
Provides coaching to all team members in a supportive and collaborative manner, and receives and implements coaching from others to improve performance
Conducts all interactions with staff, clients, and internal and external customers in positive, professional, and caring manner
Completes other duties as assigned

Assignment may require the ability to physically move clients during possible physical interventions in order to maintain a safe learning environment and may require employees to wear protective apparel and equipment when necessary.
The position requires that an individual be able to learn new tasks quickly and effectively.

The ability to understand and carry out detailed, involved, instructions is mandatory.
The incumbent must be able to travel to multiple locations as needed, to conduct organizational business.

This is a year-round, full-time or part-time position. Program operation days and hours of work are determined by the EIBS program calendar and will be Monday through Friday. 8 hours of training will be required during the scheduled school break weeks to maintain regulatory training requirements.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, current First Aid and CPR certification, and completion of a crisis intervention curriculum. Experience in human services or a school setting is highly desired, along with strong leadership and coaching skills.
