Position Description The Assistant JV Girls Volleyball Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and coordinates volleyball programming in collaboration with the Head JV Girls Volleyball Coach. This role is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student-athletes to help them achieve high skill levels while fostering an appreciation for physical fitness, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

  • This position requires travel, evening/weekend work, and involvement in summer league program development.

  • Safety: Ensure adherence to Branson and League policies; maintain a safe environment for student-athletes at all times.

  • Supervision: Supervise athletes at home and away games; ensure adherence to training rules, academic requirements, and behavioral standards.

Communication

Maintain regular contact with parents regarding team operations; resolve conflicts in a professional manner.

Operations

Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of equipment and uniforms; manage inventory.

Administrative

Complete Paycom timecards punctually and maintain all required certifications and training hours.

Position

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).

Experience

1–2 years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level (preferred).

Certifications

CPR Certified through the American Red Cross; valid driver’s license (required to drive athletes to off-campus events).

Skills

Strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to prioritize and solve problems.

Qualities

Ability to interact professionally with a diverse community, maintain confidentiality, and represent Branson with integrity.

Physical

Requirements

Strength: Heavy work—exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and 50 lbs frequently.

Mobility

Ability to stand for long periods, walk long distances, and bend at the hips and knees.

Environment

Ability to work in noisy, crowded environments and carry training kits/coolers. Requirements
