ASL Staff Interpreter

The asl interpreter facilitates communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing, their peers, and school staff within educational settings. They also serve as an active member of the educational team, assisting with data collection and supporting student iep goals.

Candidates must meet massachusetts commission for the deaf & hard of hearing (Mcdhh) and department of elementary and secondary education (Dese) requirements, including a minimum 3.5 eipa rating. Fluency in american sign language and english is required, with a bachelor's degree and interpreter training program completion preferred.
