ASL Staff Interpreter

The asl interpreter facilitates communication between deaf or hard of hearing students, staff, and hearing peers within educational settings. They also serve as an active member of the educational team, assisting with data collection and supporting iep goals.

Candidates must meet massachusetts commission for the deaf & hard of hearing (Mcdhh) requirements, including a minimum 3.5 rating on the educational interpreter performance assessment (Eipa). Fluency in american sign language and english is required, with a bachelor's degree and interpreter training program completion preferred.
