Special Education Teacher 185

The special education teacher assesses the educational needs of hospitalized patients and prepares lesson plans in accordance with their individualized education programs (Ieps). They maintain a conducive classroom environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient education and progress.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in special education and certification from the rhode island department of education. A minimum of one year of teaching experience is required, along with the ability to work independently within departmental policies.
