The assistant swim instructor provides safe and challenging swim lessons under the direction of the program coordinator or aquatics director. They are responsible for following ymca guidelines and maintaining a safe environment for all participants.
Requirements summary
Candidates must demonstrate emotional maturity and pass a swim test consisting of specific strokes and treading water. They are required to obtain or maintain certifications in first aid, cpr, and other ymca-Specific safety training.
