Job description
- The Assistant Coach of Basketball is responsible for their designated aspect of coaching, assist in recruiting and willing to assist in any role needed.
- The candidate needs to be a relentless supporter of Lorain County Community College and its athletics department.
- Collegiate coaching and recruiting experience are preferred but not required for this position.
- The program will be conducted in compliance with policies, procedures and regulations of the College, the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
- Candidates must maintain a current CPR and AED certification.
This is a part-time, 12-month position, reporting directly to the Head Basketball Coach and Athletic Director.

Requirements
- Three years of basketball coaching experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Solid administrative skills with the ability to communicate and motivate student-athletes to achieve goals.
- Willingness to interact comfortably with individuals and constituency groups that are crucial to the advancement of the baseball program along with the department and institution.
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Education: Associate degree or better required/Bachelor’s degree or better preferred.
