About the role

The teacher will design and deliver individualized instruction while monitoring IEP goals for students with autism. They will also collaborate with paraprofessionals and families to implement behavior intervention strategies and maintain a structured classroom environment.

What You’ll Do as an Autism Special Education Teacher

You’ll make a lasting difference every single day by

  • Design and deliver highly structured, individualized instruction tailored to each student’s needs
  • Implement and monitor IEP goals focused on communication, social interaction, behavior, and daily living skills
  • Use evidence-based practices such as visual supports, task analysis, prompting strategies, and reinforcement systems
  • Support students with complex sensory, behavioral, and communication needs, including nonverbal learners
  • Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and measure progress
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention strategies in collaboration with related service providers
  • Create predictable routines and structured environments that promote student success
  • Lead, coach, and collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the classroom
  • Partner with families and multidisciplinary teams to support each student holistically

Position Details

Schedule Monday–Friday | 8: 15 AM–3:15 PM Includes a 6-week Extended School Year program (built into salary)

Salary $69,754.89–$92,718 (based on experience and education) $2,500 sign-on bonus
