The teacher is responsible for creating and implementing weekly lesson plans and administering assessments to measure student growth. They must differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs and maintain accurate records in a private day school setting.

We are looking for motivated licensed Special Education, English, and Career and Technical Education Teachers that desire to effect positive change in young people’s lives.
Our Teacher will be responsible for teaching students in the private day school setting.

We serve students ages 5 to 22 who need extra support to find success in the classroom and community in locations across Virginia.
This role requires driving, therefore a "clean driving record" is critical.
Minimum education, training, requirements and prerequisites
Virginia Special Education Teaching License (preferred) or license eligible.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Ability to work year-round with built-in breaks.
Safety-Care Certification (Training provided.)
Must have a valid Virginia Drivers’ License, proof of insurance, satisfactory Driving Record (less than 5 demerit points.)
Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM.
DRIVING SPECIFIC (The following list may or may not be all inclusive at time of posting):
Must not have any of the following violations within the last 5 years:
Reckless driving, including speeding 20mph or more over the posted speed limit.
Driving under the influence/impaired/intoxicated or refusing a blood/breath test.
Manslaughter or negligent homicide.
Driving after being declared a habitual offender.
Driving on a suspended or revoked license
Driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of .04 or higher, refusing a blood/breath test, or violating an out-of-service order.
Injuring a person while racing - felony.
Failure to stop at the scene of a crash where there is injury, death, or property damage of $1000 or more.
Emergency vehicle violation - death.
Vehicular assault or willful stopping, impeding, or damaging a vehicle.
Blocking access to the service facility.
Attempting to elude police.
Operating an unsafe vehicle.
Vulnerable Road User – Death.
Must not have any of the following violations within the last 3 years:
Passing a stopped school bus.
Careless driving.
Three or more minor moving violations within the last three years.
