  • 1 patient care model. You will be supported through a mentorship program and work closely with APTA Board-Certified Women’s Health Specialists. Our team fosters continuous learning through collaboration and regular case presentations, helping you build expertise and confidence. Our adult rehab center is a comprehensive facility providing physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to the high school and adult population. Our specialties include orthopedics, neurology and pelvic health. We also have a wheelchair seating clinic and pool therapy programs. UF Health Shands Outpatient Rehab Services is dedicated to providing excellent patient care to individuals throughout north central Florida. Through comprehensive rehabilitation programs, we hope to create a safe and comfortable environment that empowers individuals to manage their care independently, return to a functional lifestyle and improve their quality of life. We are dedicated to treating our patients with compassion, creativity, respect and confidentiality. Our rehab centers accomplish this with close working relationships between our referring physicians, therapists, support staff, University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions and the University of Florida Athletics Program. Our therapists provide rehabilitation services and education to patients. We offer continuing education, journal clubs, staff mentoring and the ability to be involved with student clinical education and our UF Health accredited residency programs in Sports and Orthopedics.

Responsibilities

In this role, the Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist provides pelvic health therapy services and education to patients. In addition, will contribute to the education and professional development of other healthcare providers and students in the field of rehabilitation. Schedule FTE: 1.0 Shift Hours: 7:00am-6:00pm; TBD Days of Week: Monday-Friday; TBD

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors in Rehab Therapy No previous clinical experience necessary Demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of therapy services and settings Demonstrates strong communication skills
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida.
