Para Sped Low Incidence (2026-2027 School Year)

The para sped assists teachers in providing instructional support, managing classroom routines, and implementing behavior plans for students with low incidence needs. They also provide physical assistance with student daily needs and maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or ged equivalent and meet specific college credit or assessment requirements for title schools. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, and a willingness to learn specialized skills like braille or sign language.
