- Position Overview We are seeking a passionate Vocational Trainer to join our team.
- In this role, you will support individuals with special needs in developing job skills and succeeding in workplace settings.
- Responsibilities include providing hands-on training in job tasks, equipment use, and safety, coordinating employment supports such as transportation, and assisting with job development.
- You will help develop client goals and assessments, document progress, implement behavior support strategies, and advocate for clients in the workplace.
- This role plays a key part in promoting independence, building confidence, and supporting individuals in achieving their employment goals through a person-centered approach.
Requirements: Specific
Duties & Responsibilities
Assists in job development Coordinates transportation and other support for client employment as necessary Provides instruction on equipment, job duties and safety at job site Assists in developing client objectives and client assessments Maintains documentation on services provided and client progress Applies behavior modification programs Advocates for the client at the work place Attends and participates in assigned meetings Other related duties as assigned
- Qualifications, Education, and Experience Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Hold a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Maintain state minimum auto insurance coverage.
- CPR and First Aid Certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Must pass Criminal Background Clearance.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to role model appropriate behavior and attitudes in professional settings.
- Availability and flexibility to work varying schedules.
