Job description

Duties

Must be available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The instructional staff is responsible for directing, evaluating, and reporting student progress toward course objectives and for the periodic review and updating of course material. The instructional staff will serve as student advisors and develop study plans and advisements as needed to support students' academic progress. Instructional staff will report directly to the Program Director and work as a team to meet the needs of students, the program, and the campus.

Required qualifications

  • The Clinical Coordinator must possess an Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology.
  • Must be a certified surgical technologist (CST) by a national credentialing organization, NBSTSA
  • The clinical instructor must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five (5) years

• The clinical instructor must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the operating room scrub role, as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification (NBSTSA, CST, or Other Surgical Technology Certification)
  • Copy of Transcript (AA Degree or higher)
  • Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3-4 letters)
