Knowledge Road is seeking a part-time Special Education Teacher (SETSS) to join our team and deliver critical support to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools.
With a major city-wide shortage of qualified special education professionals, your expertise is critically needed to ensure students receive the personalized instruction they require.
This provides the chance to engage directly with students who need specialized academic assistance, helping them reach their educational goals through focused intervention and evidence-based instruction.
As a SETSS provider with Knowledge Road, you'll deliver individualized and small-group instruction in school settings, collaborating closely with families and school teams to promote student progress and academic achievement.
As a Special Education Teacher (SETSS) with Knowledge Road, you will: Offer high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction to students with disabilities, in accordance with their Individualized Education Service Programs (IESP). Ensure fulfillment of each student's weekly IESP mandates and maintain an intervention schedule coordinated with the school timetable. Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular family communication with updates on progress and next steps. Document service delivery and student performance in Knowledge Road's system with precise and timely documentation. Create and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to build a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. Track and evaluate student progress, providing regular updates to families and school-based teams. Attend IESP meetings as required, providing professional insights and recommendations to support
