MANDATORY: A Master’s Degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in the specific subject area is required.
Teaches courses related to subject matter. Prepare, administer, and grade periodic tests, assignments, and/or program assessment data. Maintain a student attendance record as required by the Mississippi Community College Board. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attends adjunct faculty meetings and professional development workshops and training. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to take initiative to solve problems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Experience using technology including email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, and Internet use. Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team. Demonstrate oral and written communication skills to interact with a wide range of diverse individuals. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the Instructor regularly required to do the following: Travel between campuses and a flexible schedule may be required, including some evenings, weekends, and extended hours to meet department needs.
