Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

The physical therapy assistant provides physical therapy treatment procedures to an assigned inpatient caseload under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, delivering evidence-Based clinical care based on the established plan of care. Responsibilities also include contributing to educational and administrative efforts within the department, such as instructing patients/Parents and tracking medical equipment.

Required qualifications include an associate's degree in physical therapy assistant, at least three years of pta experience, and pennsylvania state licensure or indirect supervision authorization upon hire. Preferred experience includes at least one year in pediatrics, along with preferred advanced proficiency pathways certifications.
