Core responsibilities
Outdoor youth mentors work 8-Day shifts in the backcountry to supervise, mentor, and ensure the safety of at-Risk teenagers. They facilitate outdoor activities, lead group discussions, and provide emotional support to help students navigate challenges.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 19 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess current first aid and cpr certifications. Applicants must be physically capable of hiking and living in primitive backcountry conditions while carrying 40+ pounds of gear.
