Purpose
The Redeemer Lincoln Square (LSQ) Seminary Internship is a one-year, paid, part-time ministry position for college graduates who are enrolled in (or preparing to enroll in) a seminary program in New York City and seeking hands-on ministry experience as they grow in their Christian faith and calling.
Expectations
Interns will be part of the LSQ staff and required to attend weekly staff meetings. Interns will be hired for a specific ministry responsibility within one of the following ministry areas and given leadership responsibilities: Pastoral Care - Administrative - Community Life - Women’s or Men's Ministry - Mission & Evangelism - Mercy & Justice - Children's Ministry - Worship Arts - Youth Ministry - Hospitality - Young Adult Ministry Throughout the program, interns will report to and receive supervision from an assigned pastor or ministry director within their ministry area. Interns will work 20 hours per week for 50 weeks (2 weeks vacation). Interns will meet regularly with their supervisor and pastors for encouragement, coaching and ministry development. The internship is a one-year program, but there may be an opportunity to extend the internship an additional year. Successful completion of the internship program does not guarantee future employment with Redeemer LSQ.
Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled in a seminary program located in New York City (or planning to enroll in a NYC-based seminary prior to the start of the internship), and must remain enrolled for the duration of the program. Must regularly attend Redeemer LSQ during internship. Must hold an undergraduate degree. Must be a member of a Gospel-Centered Church and recommended by his/her church for being intern at Redeemer LSQ. Must demonstrate a clear motivation and strong desire to participate in this program “not for yourself,” but for the benefit of others and to the glory of God.

Term
- This is a one-year term, with an ideal start date of August 1. The position may be extended on a yearly basis.
- Post-Hire: Once an intern is hired, we will create a tailored job description based on their specific ministry area and assigned duties.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set; experience and training; licensure, certifications, and ordination; and other organizational needs.
