The behavioral health education specialist ii provides direct patient care by facilitating safe learning environments and implementing individualized treatment and education plans. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to lead social-Emotional learning, manage behavioral crises, and document patient progress accurately.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social work, psychology, or education and possess the ability to obtain a colorado substitute teaching license. Experience in behavioral health, special education, and de-Escalation techniques is required, along with the physical ability to perform crisis interventions.
