Position Summary
The Registered Nurse assists in the delivery of safe health care to University students who present to the CSU Health Network in the Medical Clinic. This position will work primarily in the Women and Gender Care Clinic as a team nurse who provides nursing care for a team of providers. This position must be flexible to work in a variety of clinics (acute care, primary care, women and gender care, immunizations, or allergy), as the needs arise for patient care. This position will work a varying full-time schedule, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:30-6:00, or depending on patient variables. The salary range is $80,000 - $87,567, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Nurse Manager. Essential Job Duties: Performs patient intake including obtaining vital signs, documenting chief complaint and medical history, and using clinical judgment to assess patient acuity. Prepares patients for provider visits by gathering necessary supplies and equipment and performing appropriate point-of-care testing. Executes standing orders in a timely and accurate manner, including point-of-care testing and medication administration. Assists providers with clinical procedures, maintaining appropriate clean or sterile technique and serving as a trained procedural assistant. Provides direct patient care and treatments including medication administration, nebulizer treatments, wound and burn care, and other prescribed nursing interventions. Obtains diagnostic tests and specimens (e.g., EKGs, point-of-care pregnancy testing, and urinalysis) to support clinical assessment and treatment planning. Provides infirmary-level care when indicated, including initiating and monitoring IV fluids, administering IV or IM medications, and preparing patients for hospital transfer. Communicates and collaborates with providers and patients by reporting clinical findings, documenting in the electronic health record, and notifying patients of laboratory results, prescription refills, and follow-up instructions. Supports specialized and outreach services including RN-led STI assessment and testing, spirometry, campus health clinics (e.g., flu vaccination or URI clinics), and maintaining clinic inventory, such as IUD and implant supplies.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of current Registered Nurse license through the State of Colorado or compact Current certification in American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university AND Associate Degree in Nursing; OR Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university Two years of nursing experience in direct patient care Preferred
