  • About the team For this Building Substitute position, you’ll be working for our middle school in center city Philadelphia called Freire Charter Middle School (5th-8th Grade): Freire Schools’ youngest Dragons are preparing for college and changing what it means to be in middle school.

  • What you’ll do As a Middle School Building Substitute, you’ll ensure that students are working in a safe, productive environment so that student’s learning is not compromised in the absence of staff.

Responsibilities

Cover classes and maintain a classroom culture of learning and safety for all students using provided lesson/coverage plans. Monitor additional spaces as needed such as lunch, hallways, recess, etc. Model professionalism and overall Freire the values of community, teamwork, and a commitment to peace.
