Are you the IHBS Clinical Intern (MA Level) we've been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by supporting our clients to achieve their goals!

JRI’s In-Home Behavioral Services program is a home-based service committed to assisting youth in identifying and reducing challenging behaviors. Our staff and interns work closely with the child and their family to create and implement individualized behavior plans to improve the child’s functioning. Our treatment approach is rooted in behavioral fundamentals and individualized to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

During Your Internship You Will

  • Learn how to use new clinical interventions to support youth and families.
  • Explore your clinical knowledge through use of evidence based and modalities.
  • Strengthen your documentation skills and use of electronic medical records.
  • Be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
  • Collaborate with the supervising BCBA and the team to apply ABA principles in creating tailored behavior intervention plans aimed at improving skills and reducing challenging behaviors.

  • BCBA Supervision and training!
  • You will have access to opportunities for ongoing training, professional development and opportunities for CEUs.
  • Supervision from licensed and experienced staff to provide necessary hours and clinical growth towards degree completion.
  • Supervision from a licensed Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be provided to help you achieve the required hours towards degree completion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) students.

Requirements

  • Minimum working towards a master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or related field is required. 2nd year students are preferred.
  • Clinical interest in working with children/adolescents is required and familiarity with trauma informed models of treatment preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Comfort with technology and learning various electronic systems is required.
  • Must have daily access to reliable, insured vehicle and active Driver’s License.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
