Adapted Physical Education Teacher

The teacher is responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (Ieps) and lesson plans tailored to students with multiple disabilities. They must also manage classroom behavior, maintain daily schedules, and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Candidates must hold an initial nys certification in special education and a bachelor's degree in special education while pursuing a master's degree. The role requires the physical ability to lift 50 pounds and experience with students with multiple disabilities is preferred.
