Benefits: Competitive salary Flexible schedule Free uniforms Training & development About D1 Training North Shore

D1 Training North Shore is an athletic performance facility in Glenview built on the same principles used to train collegiate and professional athletes. Our members range from youth competitors to adult fitness athletes, and every program is designed with intention — strength, speed, conditioning, and real results.

We're growing our coaching staff and actively looking for female coaches with a collegiate athletic background who are ready to lead, teach, and make a lasting impact on the athletes and adults we train.

Why This Role Exists

Our membership includes a strong and growing community of adult women and female youth athletes. They train hard and they respond to coaches who understand what it means to compete — coaches who have been through the work themselves.

If you played at the college level, you already know how to be coached, how to push through, and what it looks like to hold a high standard. That experience translates directly to the floor here. We're looking for someone who can bring that credibility, connect with our members, and lead sessions that people look forward to showing up for.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead co-ed group training sessions for adults and youth athletes Coach one-on-one personal training, including a strong base of female clients Deliver team-style workouts focused on strength, speed, and conditioning Teach movement fundamentals and proper technique at every level Modify programming in real time for safety, ability, and progression Build genuine relationships with members that drive accountability and retention Show up with energy, professionalism, and a coaching presence that sets the tone Who We're Looking For

Collegiate athletic experience is strongly preferred — Division I or Division II ideal, but all college athletes are encouraged to apply. What matters most is that you competed, you understand what real training looks like, and you know how to bring people along with you.

Strong candidates typically bring

A former athlete's mindset — high standards, coachable, works well on a team Experience in group training, personal training, or sports performance coaching Confidence leading a room and adapting to different ability levels Genuine passion for strength, performance, and the coaching process CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting) Certifications are a plus. Real athletic experience and the ability to connect with people matter more.
