The Social Worker identifies and supports students and families by removing barriers to learning through assessments, interventions, and community collaboration. They also participate in school-wide initiatives related to attendance, safety, and social-emotional health.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree, a relevant Master's degree, and Florida certification in School Social Work (PK-12). A background check and screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse are mandatory.
Success in this role is measured by improving student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes and acting as a liaison with community agencies to ensure services.
This role reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Operations and works regionally with the Manager of Student Support Services. The schedule mirrors the school staff hours, and this is a year-round position. This role is available at KIPP BOLD CITY HIGH SCHOOL.
