Special Education Teacher, Extended Content Standards ll

Coordinates and provides direct instructional programs for special education students while developing and implementing individual education programs (Ieps). Monitors student progress, manages classroom behavior, and collaborates with staff and parents to ensure educational needs are met.

Requires a bachelor's degree and a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area. Candidates must also possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and demonstrate knowledge of instructional practices and federal/State special education policies.
