Substitute Teacher

The substitute teacher assumes full classroom responsibilities in the teacher's absence, including implementing lesson plans and managing daily schedules. They also maintain learning centers, ensure classroom cleanliness, and serve as an advocate for the head start program and families.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or ged and at least one year of experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting. A child development associate (Cda) certificate or an associate degree in early childhood education is preferred.
