The paraprofessional assists teachers in preparing educational materials and reinforcing learning objectives for students in classroom or media center settings. They also manage daily routines, including attendance, supervision of students during lunch and recess, and maintaining instructional areas.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and pass the gace para assessment or hold at least 60 semester hours of college credit. Additionally, the role requires the ability to obtain a georgia psc paraprofessional certificate and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
