Core responsibilities
The associate teacher works with the lead teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational programs for children. They are responsible for maintaining a safe, stimulating classroom environment and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold at least an associate degree in early childhood education or a related field. A child development associate (Cda) certification is required, and at least six months of teaching experience in an early childhood program is preferred.
