About the role

The Head Teacher is responsible for ensuring the well-being of children by implementing inquiry-based curricula and thematic units. They must proactively communicate with parents and maintain strict health and safety protocols within the classroom.

Become a part of the Vivvi founding team at a brand new 24-hour child care center on Toyota’s new campus in Liberty, NC, to help build the quality program children deserve while pursuing your own professional growth and development.

About the Role

As a Part-time Head Teacher, you'll: Ensure the well-being and development of the children in your classroom Dream up rich, thematic units that foster children’s curiosity and help them achieve key individual and age-appropriate milestones Lead planning and implementation of inquiry-based activities and curriculum tailored towards children’s developmental growth Engage with and enrich children using positive language, loving care, and interactive play Proactively communicate with parents regarding their children’s development and growth Closely supervise children and adhere to robust health and safety protocol Apply Today If You: Enjoy working with young learners, and see every child as infinitely capable Believe every family deserves access to world-class child care that meets their needs. Have 1-2+ years of experience working in a licensed child care center capacity Have 2+ years of experience working with children aged 0-5 within a licensed child care center, including expertise in creating original lesson plans, leading parent-teacher conferences, and effectively liaising with families about children’s development and milestones. Hold a NC Child Development Credentials I and II, Associates Degree in ECE or Child Development (Preferred) Value and create strong relationships with families, children, and faculty Possess excellent leadership skills including the ability to define goals and motivate staff towards success Value and create trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Requirements

Candidates need 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care center and expertise in creating original lesson plans. A NC Child Development Credential I and II or an Associate's degree in ECE is preferred.
