Professional Mentor "Friend" – Colorado Springs, CO

The mentor will serve as a positive adult role model to eight elementary children, developing loving, caring, and sustained one-On-One relationships while partnering with parents/Caregivers. Responsibilities include setting positive expectations, nurturing strengths, teaching life and academic skills, providing enrichment, modeling behavior, and maintaining detailed documentation.

Candidates need a 2 or 4-Year degree, or at least seven years of progressive experience working with children and families in lieu of a degree, and must commit for a minimum of three years. Essential abilities include strong interpersonal skills, the capacity to develop trusting relationships, independent work capability, and strong organizational and communication skills.
