POSITION: Part-Time Nursing Clinical Instructors (Adjunct Faculty): Nursing Department, Division of Health Professions; Lawrence Campus (414 Common Street); up to 16 hours per week; MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position SUMMARY: Clinical Nursing instructors supervise clinical experience for up to 6 students for 8-16 hours per week. Their duties include, but may not be limited to, providing clinical instruction that coordinates with theoretical content and achieves course objectives. Adjunct Faculty will engage in a critical role in the teaching and learning process as a member of the nursing team, contributing to student success. REPORTS TO: Assistant Dean of Nursing Programs SCHEDULE: Clinical Opportunities 1-2 days or evenings per week; Monday through Friday
Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience Instruct and Supervise nursing students in the clinical setting Instruct and Supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation to support the achievement of student learner outcomes when clinical agency is unavailable Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback Complete formative and summative student evaluations Communicate with Course Team Leader on a weekly basis regarding student issues Perform other duties associated with the position.

NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all required qualifications must be met by date of hire. ADN nursing instruction level: Master's Degree in Nursing MA Registered Nurse license in good standing. Practical nursing instruction level: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning Possess a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five (5) years Evidence of competence in clinical area of Maternal-child, Medical Surgical Nursing, or Psychiatric Nursing Basic Life Support Health Provider Level certification from American Heart Association
Master's degree in Nursing or enrolled in an MSN program or have passed Certified Nurse Educator certification exam with 5 years of full-time experience.
