The adjunct faculty member is responsible for providing effective nursing instruction and assessment based on provided syllabi. They must maintain student records and create a supportive learning environment to help students reach their goals.

Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.

Education, Experience And Other Requirements: For Practical Nursing (PN) Program
A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required. A Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) is preferred for lead/lecture faculty. Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license. Two years of direct patient care experience required. For Nursing (ASN, PN, or LPN-to-RN Programs): A Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) is preferred. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is the minimum, if the instructor is currently enrolled in a graduate program in nursing and making progress toward completion. Must hold a current, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license (or a compact state license recognized in Indiana). At least two years of direct patient care experience as a registered nurse. Clinical teaching assignments may require specific expertise in the specialty area (e.g., pediatrics, med-surg, OB, psych/mental health).
