Licensure

- Your
- Role: As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a critical role in helping students improve functional skills and achieve greater independence in their educational environments.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluate
- Needs: Perform Occupational Therapy assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for specialized services.
- Communicate
- Findings: Communicate evaluation findings to parents, educators, and other stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations.
- Develop
- Interventions: Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to create evidence-based interventions that promote student participation, access to education, and skill development.
- Provide
- Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in implementing IEP goals.
- Monitor
- Progress: Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
- Support
- Team: Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and support their growth. Your expertise and dedication will empower students to develop the skills needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
