The Community Liaison develops positive relationships with families and the community while managing daily sign-ins, rosters, and program communications. They ensure a safe, inclusive environment for youth and support site coordinators with reporting and event organization.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, FBI/DOJ clearance, and First Aid/CPR certification. Additionally, 6 months of experience supervising children or 6 units in child development is required.

Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Lifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,500 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 160 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.
Community Liaisons support the after-school programs by developing positive relationships with program participants, their families, and the community, with the intent of providing meaningful partnerships. They are responsible for overseeing the daily sign-ins and sign outs of all participants. They ensure that the communication board is up to date with program related information and that all families are up to date with program events, schedules, and upcoming field trips. They manage the accuracy of our after-school program rosters and manage the daily head counts of participants.
The Community Liaison position is an on-site position, including attending training at the Woodcraft Rangers main office in Little Tokyo and school sites.
High School Diploma or equivalent FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance TB Test clearance First Aid & CPR certification (provided by WR) 6 months experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting OR 6 units in child development. Must successfully pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling For ABC Unified School District (Cerritos) Candidates ONLY - 48+ College Units or ABC Unified Paraeducator Test Completion.
