Starting base pay of $22.50/hr Paid time off and paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) qualified employer Employee Assistance Program - available to employee and family members Bi-weekly pay; 26 pay periods in a calendar year Professional development, tuition assistance and training/certifications Responsibilities: Assist in the identification and programming for students with disabilities, including the preparation of the IEP, 504, or ILP. Plan instruction and curriculum consistent with individual IEP testing scores and accommodations. Provide lessons based on Colorado State Safety Net Standards. Apply principles of teaching/learning to enhance student achievement, including experiential methods. Utilize teaching methods that are appropriate for meeting the goals and objectives outlined in the IEP. Uses evaluation of student outcomes to guide instruction and to monitor the effectiveness of instruction provided through the IEP, CDE standards, and COGNIA objectives. Completes and submits monthly progress notes, midterm grades, and session grades by the due date. Reports on IEP, 504 or ILP goals on a quarterly basis. Maintains up-to-date Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and assists with physical managements as necessary. Supports a positive behavior support system. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with Major or Minor in a subject (Math/Science, etc.) or degree in Education (preferred) or proven enrollment and progress in a four-year degree program specifically centered around Special Education and Education. Special Education Generalist license or hold (or be eligible to hold) a Colorado Teaching License in the necessary endorsement area(s) or eligibility to obtain a Temporary Educator Eligibility licensure, a Substitute Teacher’s License in the necessary endorsement area. Minimum of two years’ related experience preferred. Previous experience working with IEP, 504 or ILPs preferred. Ability to maintain healthy emotional and physical boundaries in personal and professional relationships Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities. Ability to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agency’s clients and staff. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and trust. Must pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam. Must be at least 21 years of age. Why Griffith Centers?
