Job description

The Volunteer Library Reading Tutor supports the Stay on Track Summer Reading Program by working with students in grades 1–3 to help maintain and strengthen reading skills during the summer months. Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups to practice reading and phonics through engaging games, activities, and stories designed to build confidence, maintain reading skills, and reinforce foundational literacy skills. Training will be provided and tutors may seek advice from Library Literacy Coordinator. Tutors help create a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters a love of reading and supports children in staying on track academically during the summer break.
