Teacher I (3227)

The teacher i plans and implements daily educational activities for children in a head start or early head start classroom while ensuring compliance with federal performance standards. They are responsible for monitoring child progress, maintaining a safe learning environment, and communicating regularly with parents and community volunteers.

Candidates must hold an associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with at least 18 semester credits in relevant coursework. Additionally, two years of experience teaching preschool-Aged children and the ability to pass a level ii background screening are required.
