About the role

Willow Academy is thrilled to offer an opportunity for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dedicated team in a structured, supportive school setting. This is a uniquely impactful role where you can bring your ABA expertise into a collaborative educational environment designed to help students build the skills needed to successfully transition to less restrictive settings.

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a ground up program that will be focusing on merging the best qualities of in-center ABA services with the atmosphere of a school environment. You’ll work closely with students with intensive behavioral needs, lead a small and manageable caseload, and receive ongoing clinical mentorship and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing oversight and development of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming for a small caseload of students. (Between 4-5 students depending on need)
  • Collaborate with educational staff to design and adapt strategies that support student learning and behavior regulation in the classroom.
  • Coach and supervise RBTs in implementing programming with fidelity, including modeling, feedback, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Conduct assessments (e.g., FBA, VB-MAPP, ABLLS, etc.) and write data-driven reports that guide programming.
  • Maintain consistent communication with families and school stakeholders to ensure program alignment across environments.
  • Train school staff in ABA principles, behavior supports, and data collection procedures.
  • Ensure programming is implemented ethically and in alignment with BACB standards and relevant school policies.
  • Participate in school team meetings, IEP development, and progress presentations as needed.
  • Complete documentation in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
  • Support crisis intervention and de-escalation in coordination with trained team members.
  • Other clinical and consultative duties as needed.

What we are seeking

Required

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Comfort and confidence supporting students with intensive behavior needs
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Trauma-informed mindset and compassionate, student-centered approach
  • Availability Monday–Friday 8-4pm for on-site work

Preferred

  • Experience in school or classroom settings
  • Experience with curriculum development or academic programming in school-based environments
  • Familiarity with Central Reach
  • Physical ability to safely support students when needed (e.g., elopement response, lifting, blocking)

Requirements

Candidates must have a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field and an active BCBA certification. Experience in school settings and a trauma-informed mindset are preferred.
