Teacher Assistant

The teacher assistant provides instructional and behavioral support to students in a classroom setting, assisting with academic activities and daily living needs. They also collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement individualized student plans and ensure a safe, clean learning environment.

Candidates must hold or be in active pursuit of a new york state teacher assistant certification and have passed the nystce atas examination. Experience working with students with disabilities or in special education settings is required for specialized department roles.
